Back in the gym and first impressions review of my Kerrimor running shoes.

*This post is not sponsored, I purchased this product off my own back and these are my own views*

Now the big one is back at school, it is back to focusing on my weightloss journey. During my amazing week camping I gained a large 8lbs. I am now 12lbs away from that magical 100lbs loss when before camping I was just 4lbs away. Talk about a giant step backwards. Anyway... I am not going to dwell, what's done is done and I can't go back and change what I ate. I am knuckling back down and getting into it with all my might. I am hoping I can shift it pretty quickly as it went on quick.

I have found the closer I am getting to my final goal though, the harder it is so shift the weight.
In getting back on track and in the zone I decided to treat myself, so picked up some new running shoes. I picked up a pair of Kerrimor Duma Ladies running shoes from Soccor sports for £39.99.
Now these aren't normally something I would go for. I like to blend in, especially while I am getting my sweat on at the gym. However I felt like I needed a change and these caught my eye. I love the bright colours and when I tried them on I found them extremely soft. They are so attention grabbing when I was walking home from the gym a woman commented on how cool and bright they was.

Today I gave them their first spin at the gym so I figured I would do a quick first impressions review.

On popping them on my feet they felt a bit odd... They don't feel like they sit as high as the training shoes I am used too but once I had worn them for a few minutes it felt completely normal.
I did a 40 minute workout at the gym plus walked to and back home in them also (a mile walk). They have a lot of support and offer a fair ammount of cushioning when running.
It is fair to say I was pretty impressed with this product and hope we have a long running future together!

Back to school

This week marked the start of Mia's journey into year 2. My big girl now gets 'official homework' added to her spellings and reading that she already brings home. It doesn't seem two years ago since she walked into her Reception class and now she's entering her final year of the infants. If someone invents a button or something to slow down this whole growing up malarkey, let me know...ok?

Summer Holidays.

We've just got back from a very enjoyable week away. This year we have ventured into the world of camping. So we packed up and headed Golden Sands in Mablethorpe.

This was to be our home away from home for a week. Apart from one night; we was hit with such a storm our tent decided it could'nt cope with the 45mph winds at silly o'clock in the morning and we ended up being rescued by Haven Park safety ranges who put us up in a caravan for the night. They also gave us some tokens to clean any clothes and towels that got wet during the storm. While wew as getting all the essentials together to leave the tent I had to wake the kids up. Waking Molly up - easy no problem. Waking Mia up? I had to shake her awake. Literally.
Anyway... We made is safetly to the caravan and our tent made it through the storm (Barr 3 cracked tent poles that we didn't know about till we was packing away)
Luckily the rest of the week went without a hitch.
I won a giant Rory teddy during a game of rock and roll bingo (this has caused a few arguments as I only got one)
Mia also won a wrestling mask ...
...For having the best air guitar. I'll give her some credit here; she really went wild! Her hair was swoohishing and she rocked it! The cheer she got was astoundingly loud.

Overall it was an amazingly fantastic week and we have for sure created lots of memories together as a family. I am just sad that it's almost time for school to start again.

Who Is 'Team Tanswell' ?

Team Tanswell made up of Me, My husband and two girls. We are your normal English family!

Where did 'Team Tanswell' Come from?!

'Team Tanswell' Isn't just another name for yet another blog - It gets shouted or chanted whenever we do something successful as a family that deserves to be praised.

Me.

I am Emma, I am 26 and I am currently embarking on a massive lifestyle change. I have been on this path since 2012 and to date have lost just under 100lbs. I am a very proud stay at home mum!

The Hubby.

He is Gary, He is 29 and the breadwinner for our family. During the course of this blog he will probably be referred to as 'Gary, Tan, Tanny, Hubby' and probably a ton of other nicknames. He is an amazing man who likes MMA, Computer games and cooking in his spare time.

Mia.

Mia is our eldest. She was born 10 days over due via emergency c-section after a failed induction on the 27th October 2007 weighing in at 8lb8oz. She is a very bright and animated six, almost seven year old. She loves to dance, sing and practice Judo.

Molly.

Molly is our long awaited for ball of stubborn-ness. She decided she'd had enough and wanted out of my womb 3 weeks early. Via Elective section due to Pre-Ecclampsia Molly was born on the 13th of Febuary. Coming into the world at a whopping 6lb! She didn't have the easiest start as at 3 weeks old we found out she had a Dairy Intolerance.

So, thats us in a brief snippet. Hopefully as the blog progresses you will get to know us all a lot better then the breif bio written here.
